More About Fowler

(see also my article “Religious Development for Dummies.”) Though I have chosen to correlate with Peck’s stage numbers because I believe they are easier to understand, you can read Dr. Fowler’s direct comments about his stages on the link mentioned above. While reading Fowler’s comments, keep in mind the stage numbers we have been using. Stage Two for Peck correlates roughly with Stage Three for Fowler. Peck’s Stage Three correlates roughly with Fowler’s Stage Four. Peck’s stage Four correlates roughly with Fowler’s Stage Five - and possibly also his Stage Six - though so few individuals reach this stage that it is very hard to say anything about it.
