This comment came in from my friend Marilyn:

Seems to me that the banning centers around fear. In this case, fear that
someone might expand their spiritual awareness and no longer need to be told
what to think.

Hi Margaret. A friend gave me your name and website. I discovered the Unity of all of us some time ago and since then it has taken over my behavior and thinking. I cannot harm someone without myself and harming everyone else. If I do good for myself or anyone, I am doing good for myself. Some people don't want to reach this level. I first heard of it and believed it in A Course in Miracles class. Since then everything I read or write makes it more real. Now when I sing "We are One In the Spirit, in my Presbyterian church on Sundays, I understand what the song means
This concept brings me great joy. We are all one. If I see, or judge to see, wrong in someone else, I am actually seeing it in myself. That is how I am able to recognize it. This makes easy work of the adage: It takes one to know one. Therefore, I cannot judge someone else without judging myself.
I miss those Course in Miracles classes, but I thank the universe for providing them for me.
Regards, Joyce

Diane, you're clearly in Stage II, which is fine, but as one of the philosophers referred to on this website mentioned, it is almost impossible for someone in any of the stages to understand the other stages. I never said I don't believe in God, but my idea of what God is, is probably different and wider than your version. When you say I have "never knowingly experienced the joy of God" in my daily life, apparently, you didn't understand my description of what I experienced when I had the flash of what I call Cosmic Consciousness. That was so wonderful and blissful, that I recently told my husband if a person had the chance to reexperience that but had to give up all his worldly goods, he would probably still jump at the chance.

Margaret, I am so sorry for your boredom and "cramped style" within your parent's church. When you really have Jesus as you Lord and Savior, you will experience excitement everyday. God will take you into this world in ways you could never imagine. Fellowship with Jesus and receive joy in your life. Of course, not all will be"good, according to a worldly definition". But in everything God works to the good for those who trust and know Him. He is forever faithful and never will forsake us. I know that you have heard all this before but I do know for certain that you have never "knowingly experienced the joy of God" in your daily life. Why not ask Jesus into your life and learn of Him and from Him? You are so eager to delve into other beliefs. Why not try God again? Why not accept Jesus, the greatest gift man has ever received? Please give God another try. With Him you will have everything you will ever need. You will know love without end and you WILL be satisfied. And that is a promise. Prayerfully yours in Christ, Diane

Having known Francine since her early parochial school years, I have witnessed the transformation in her life and can validate her "testimony" as her daughter so aptly phrased it. God sent her on this journey so that would emerge a stronger and wiser person who doesn't take anything for granted and lives life to its fullest. Francine has a genuine gift for writing but this does not surprise me. She was always able to hold my sister and I captivated as she related her life experiences to us with such frank honesty. As she goes forward, others will get to enjoy her "joie de vivre" and incredible sense of humor. At the same time, she will offer lessons to be learned. I am grateful for our enduring friendship.
